Meet the photographer
Hey, I'm Lexxy Boswell. I live in West Michigan with my husband, children and our dogs. I grew up in Spring Lake, MI, but have lived in various places throughout the years. I found myself back in my hometown in 2021 and finally made Zeeland our home in 2024. I have been focusing on building and growing our family for the past few years, and am now turning more time towards photography as our children are getting older.
Before I became a photographer I was an accounting professional for over 10 years. Although I still enjoy a good excel sheet and budget, I find so much joy in photography.
Photography started off as a hobby and interest in my teen years, and I always came back to it when I could. When I lived in Florida, I decided to turn my passion into a profession and began capturing portraits and events for individuals. It truly started off as a side gig to help with my burnout from my day job, but has transformed into my primary occupation outside of our home.
I really love what I do because I know how important it is to be able to keep memories alive and to be able to hold a moment still forever.
I would consider the majority of my work to be Lifestyle Photography because moments are so important to me. This style of photography focuses on the emotion and interactions happening, but I do provide guidance to keep my clients as ease. This style does not focus heavily on posing someone, but when I do, it is soft and natural. Natural lighting is also a big part of this style, so depending on the time of day, lighting will be different. If you want your photos to tell a story, then this is the type of photography you need.
